Paul Hobbs fell in love with Argentina on his first visit in 1988. The potential he saw in the terroir and especially in the human element, spurred his consulting career.
Paul Hobbs Selections was founded in 1994 to bring the US some of the wines he had a hand in creating. In 1998, Paul founded Vina Cobos with partners Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud to explore the true character of Malbec and the expressions of different Mendoza Growing Areas throughout Cobos, Bramare and Felino.
In 2009, the portfolio expanded to include like-minded producers. Our search for quality-obsessed, estate-driven and family-owned wineries would complement.
