DOMAINE LA COLOMBE

Provence, France

For nearly 50 years, we have been exploring our terroirs, trying to gain deeper understanding of the personality of each vineyard. It is slow, step-by-step work requiring a great deal of patience. We go about it by using farming and wine making methods that respect natural rhythms, and by refusing to make compromises during the long wine producing process.

Our aim is to make a contribution towards revealing the full potential of the great terroirs in the canton of Vaud – particularly by creating innovative blends whenever complementarities make that possible.

At the Domaine La Colombe, some ten different grape varieties are cultivated on just over 20 hectares. The main varieties are Chasselas, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Garanoir and Gamaret.

Our cultivation methods aim to maximize the life of the soil, through our biodynamic certified vineyard (Demeter). The winery is equipped with both oak barrels and tanks thus making it possible to bring out the complexity of each wine's aromas. Tasting in a spirit of respect for each wine's unfolding personality guides the winemaking process.
