In April of 2019, Collective Arts Brewing announced that they will be adding distilled products to their current beer and cider portfolio. “Distilling has been part of our dream from the very beginning. We’ve focused on gins because they are a kindred spirit to craft beer; they are all about the creativity and the quality of the ingredients,” explains Matt Johnston, co-founder of Collective Arts. “Like craft beer, we can play and produce limited releases to push the limits of what gin can, and should be. There are so many ingredients we are excited to work with and there is no shortage of inspiration.” Collective Arts Distilling will mirror the brewery’s mission to work with and promote artists, featuring art on the bottle, changing with every seasonal product, and with every small batch of the flagship. Gin is just the beginning for Collective Arts Distilling, as they look to produce barrel-aged products in the future.
