EL VIEJO DEL VALLE

Chile

In a far-away field somewhere in Casablanca, long lost under the southern Andes, lies a lonely block indeed. An ancient sibling of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris is a very rare find in Chile.

With low-yielding vines, the product of ‘field planted’ cuttings brought over by European settlers, this is richer and more aromatic than its better known sibling variety, and very gentle pink in hue.

The label design is influence by 1950’s Chilean street art and if you look closely you will spot the ‘old man’ of the valley (El Viejo del Valle)
