RiberaSacra, Spain

"The estate of El Quinon was originally a clerical property. It passed on to private hands in the 19th century in a historical nationalization known in Sapin as 'Amortizacion de Mendizabal' (1845). It is located int he village of Pesquera de Duero, in Valladolid Provence, above the road that goes from Pesquera de Duero to Valbuena de Duero. The total surface is 108 hectares (267 acres), but only 65 of them are vineyards. Tempranillo is the most planted variety, with a total of 60 hectares, and it shares the vineyard with some 2.5 hectares of Merlot and 2.5 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon.'
